They're testing goal line technology in this game arent they?

    Handy enough win for England.

#England line-up tonight v Norway: Green, Jones, Baines, Gerrard, Jagielka, Lescott, Milner, Parker, Carroll, Young, Downing

#England subs: Kelly, Hart, Henderson, Barry, Oxlade Chamberlain, Walcott, Defoe, Adam Johnson. #EC

    3-0 to England

Hodgson has a certain spark about him being able to get the best out of players as well as being very good defensively organised, I reckon they'll have a very good Euros under him.

Next game at Wembley apparently, or so I've been told.

That England lineup would not have me quaking in my boots, if I was the Norway manager.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

    Green
    Jones Lescott Jagielka Baines
    Milner Parker
    Young Gerard Downing
    Carroll

It's not going to set the world alight, that's for sure, but should still get a result...

Is Welbeck injured? Strange he's not on the bench...

They will supposedly be going 4-4-1-1.

    Green
    Jones Lescott Jagielka Baines
    Milner Gerrard Parker Downing
    Young
    Carroll

    England to win easily.

The media to subsequently hail Roy and to big up Englands chances of winning the Euro's.

    Step 1 completed.

    Really good interview from Gerard.

Quite funny to see the studio analysts talking about how terrible it is for players to ignore the call from their country and have Keane sitting there quietly in the corner, looking at the floor for a couple of minutes.

    Really good interview from Gerard.

Spoke well. Gave a good account of where England realistically are. In studio then Adrian interprets it as England are going to win everything!

I've heard this game between managers Egil Olsen and Roy Hodgson being described as a "tactical black hole" on twitter.

    :D:D:D

I think that Chiles might just have been making that comment in a light hearted manner....

Ah he probably was to be fair to him.

When Roy mentioned the players to come back into the squad is that just the Chelsea players?

Peter Reid just said Downing is 22/23 years old. Hasn't a fcking clue.

ITV must be the worst channel of all for football, even worse then TV3 and 3E.

Think Peter Reid just said there about Downing....hes only 22,23 isnt he?

No,was the response,I think hes 27 from Southgate.

    :pac::pac::pac:

    Reidy,out of the game much?

    King Kenny ditto:D

It suits the ability of Rob Green to a tee then.

    Should have scored.

Carroll didnt want to score as that would mean a Downing assist.

Andy Carroll,he doesnt score when he waaaaaants....:)

Jesus, England's keeper jersey is awful!!

The outfield strip has a school uniform-y feel about it.

Good there from Downing. Carroll should do better.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,318 ✭✭✭Fishooks12

Thought Carroll did very well to even get a head on that considering the ground he had to cover

    Nice goal Marlo.

Goal from Young. And a very good goal at that!

    Great goal by Young

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,710 ✭✭✭✭Paully D

Nice goal from Young that. Poor from Hangeland getting beat like that though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,465 ✭✭✭kitakyushu

Terrible defending there. The two CB's just left it to each other. More worried about what Gerrard might have done than actually blocking Young.

    Good finish, awful defending though

Carroll will be distracted by the 'pork pies' sign.

Henriksen could not look more Scandinavian if he tried.

Norway are putting 8 or 9 behind the ball. Yes its only a friendly, but if your opponent are going to do such a thing should you really be needlessly rash and leave yourself open to the counter attack?

Besides, they're one up against a decent side and are away from home. Not exactly a disaster.

Good run from Milner there, better chance of scoring than passing to Carroll
