during the day it should be possible but at night don't think a lamp would light up much at 500+ yards.

I do a bit of rabbit shooting with a 204 at various ranges out to a maximum of about 500 yards.
For longer distances than that I think you need a larger caliber with higher bc bullets.

I think a lot of the guys on that forum are using 6.5x47. I would buy one but you can't license one for vermin in the 6 counties. :(

    A mate of mine has a 22-250 with a 1/8 twist.
He is shooting 80 grain berger bullets.
He has shot it at 500 yards and accuracy was great and I would say you could shoot it a lot further.

Lapua makes a couple of loads (They developed it with Grunig and Elmiger for 300m shooting), but think that's about it.

I looked up that ammo. It doesn't seem to be for hunting

Was doing a bit myself yesterday. Shot a grey crow at 647yards with hornady 95gr sst superformance with the 243. Couldn't actually believe i did it. It just goes to show what range finders, wind meters, and ballistic calculators combined with an accurate rifle are capable of
