    Hi,

I’m posting this just to let anyone who’s interested know that Kildare Town Educate Together NS is to open its doors in Kildare Town on the 29th of August 2012. For the first year they will be admitting students into junior infants only.

The school is still taking applications for enrolments for this coming academic year on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Please look at our facebook page and our website for more information.

    Thanks for reading!

Exciting times for the town of Kildare. I know that the principal was talking about building links with the community as soon as possible. So hopefully it will be entrenched in the town very quickly. I know how hard it can be for a new school to become established.

I look forward to seeing it open its doors!

    Hi,

Just to update we had an open day recently for the new Kildare Town Educate Together School. We got to meet the new Principal, Gerry, and the other children who will be starting in September. And their families as well! Gerry had brought reinforcements in the shape of some former colleagues from Portlaoise Educate Together who were very happy to answer any questions people had about the experience of being involved in a school start up. We were very lucky with the weather, as can be seen from the pictures on the school website. You’ll also find regular updates on the very quick march towards the school opening on the website.

The open day took place at Bright Beginnings Crèche in Kildare Town because at that time we didn't have access to our premises, the old VEC in Kildare Town. The latest news is that work has started on getting the classrooms ready for September! Well, 29 August if I'm going to be precise. According to the website they're still taking enrolments for 2012 if anyone's interested.

    Thanks for reading.

Kildare Town Educate Together National School made the news today!

RTE2's news2day came out to the school last week and filmed the kids. They interviewed the principal, Gerry, some students and parents. The school looks wonderful. See for yourself here.

They are still accepting enrolments, not just for this year, but for the next few years.

    Thanks for reading!
