In october 2010 i was assaulted by a man i did not know he hit me in the face with a bottle and i ended up with a broken nose and nerve damage in my eye.i got stitches under my eyebrow and on my forehead.the man was convicted in Feb of this year and got a year and half but will probably get out before hand.
He did not have any money so i am therefore left with bills although my medical card covers a bit of my expenses i still had to pay for taxis to galway for check up's which costs me 150e if not more.!.i was told i need an eye lift which is classed as cosmetic so i cant afford it as i am 22 and my eye is very saggy and the little things in life like applying make up and tweezing can be a battle.
Having to buy bio oil get a microdermabrasion which trys to reduce my scars which make me very conscious all which i can not afford as i am a student.!.so struggling as it is the expense has wore me down.

The moral of my story is if anyone has been in this same situation or knows of anyone how or what can be done to help the victim?as the man who assaulted me is in receipt of social welfare and cant afford to pay anything?there has to be something or some approach i can take.

    Kind Regards
    Bingy:)
