The best thing is to check on the CAO website http://www2.cao.ie/fetac/fetac_search.php

Find your course in this list and it will let you know the requirements.

No such thing as FETAC level 7 , after FETAC level 6 , you move on to HETAC Level 7.

Fetac lvl 5 = Higher Leaving cert level
    Fetac lvl 6 = Advanced certificate/Diploma
Hetac lvl 7 = An ordinary bachelors degree
Hetac lvl 8 = Honours degree

So I think your looking at Uni here, and with a level 6 you should be able to gain advanced entry into year two of a 3 or 4 year degree. I believe Fetac level 6 as a two year course maps to the equivalent of the first year of uni in a degree course.

Edit* PS Congratulations on achieving your level 6! ;)
