Electric shaver sockets

I bought a new electric shaver in Dublin during the week and noticed that the charging plug with it is different to my old shaver.
It still has two prongs but they are fatter and spaced slightly closer together.
The problem is that it doesnt fit the shaver sockets in my bathroom.

Has the plug/socket standard changed and do I need to get new sockets?
or any ideas where I could get an adapter for the new type of plug?

can you post a picture of the socket
I went into a hardware store today and uncovered my problem.
It turns out I purchased a UK shaver, apparently they use a different type of socket than the rest of Europe.
I got a UK adapter so I can now charge the unit from a regular socket.
I just cant use the bathroom shaver sockets.
    Ah well, mystery solved.....
