Precast concrete and insulation

I am putting in precast flooring on the first floor with underfloor heating on top of it.

In addition i am putting underfloor heating on the ground floor also.

i am just wondering what insulation if any is neccessary at first floor level.
i am consious of cost and i do not want to put in insulation if there is no need. in addition i also have no issue with putting it in if there is benefit in doing so. alos jsut to mention i am hoping to achieve full airtightness in the house and put in a HRV system.

some people say treat the entire house as one big box and therefore first floor insulation is not needed.

i have heard of a "multifoil product" that is like bubble wrap and could go on top of the precast. This would possibly "help" towards preventing all the heat going down into the precast slab??. This would keep the overall floor thickness down also which would help with head heights.

any thoughts or experiernce in this regard??

First thing to consider with your Engineer / Precast designer is whether you need a structural screed on the precast slab. If you do, insulation between the precast and the screed is a non runner.

the precast company are calling up a 200MM precast slab with no structural screed.

therefore what do you think of the insulation necessity now???

    Insulation is not required internally.
