re sky box - Parental control

    hello

    I wonderered does anyone know can you set parental controls on a pace box that I use for free view. It was my sky box before sky plus came along. It has no card and never had since I got the sky plus some years back.

    My sky subscripton box sits on the pace box in the attic. RF outs from both are run into a splitter. I have sky and sky plus on all my televisions.


    I need the parental controls for tv that runs into childs room.

    You should be able to. We've an old Panasonic SD Sky box with card removed for FTA UK channels, and all the filthy channel names are hidden :cool:

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

    Great ! Any idea how????to do it? It's age restricted option I Want to enable. It's looking for card to be inserted. No card

    AFAIK you have to have a card to set the restrictions :( but they still apply once you remove the card. You could try borrowing one.
