Is there anywhere that I could find out the book value of a 98 Isuzu Trooper SWB 3.1?

It's worth next to nothing in trade terms, the book doesn't go back that far.

For someone that has one, it's worth a lot more to them than say insurance would pay out

I sold a 96 swb about 2 years ago for €600 because i was sick of lookin at it in the yard, it needed a bit of work for doe but not much. Regreted it straight away and realised i should have taken it myself. How much ya lookin for it or how much you think its worth?

I have one of these for towing the transporter trailer. High spec (heated recaro seats !) and low miles. Market value I can't tell. However value to me is big 'cos it would cost thousands to get something clean to do the same job.

For anything pre 2000, the value depends more on the condition than the age, so there is no guide value. See what they are making in the adverts, maybe look at a few, and that should give you an idea.

Since the 3.0 Troopers were rubbish (engine-wise), the older 3.1s can be worth as much or more.

If you are looking for a valuation for an insurance claim (you havn't indicated if you are buying or selling !), you might want to consider getting the 3.1 engine put into a 02/03 3.0 trooper - there are always ones for sale for small money with dead engines.

Hi thanks for replies, I was looking for the book value as I am claiming on its insurance after some scumbags robbed and thrashed it. Its now a category B writeoff.

Good idea to put the engine into a 3.0 trooper.
