Myself, the missus and our 4yr old are all off today and want to do something together.
Problem is, we dont have much money!!
We're in the dundrum area of dublin and have a car.
So what do you crazy people get up to when you're broke??

Serious answer, its a lovely day, go to the beach, have fun running around on the sand and stuff... Sandymount and killiney beach are pretty close to your place...

Go to the park and have a picnic or something, lovely day for it.

While you're doing that your wife can be doing the washing up back at home, and maybe leave the young one with a baby sitter or something.

Beach or playground, or just anywhere that has ice cream!
Remember to wear sun cream though!

Bring your 4yr old to the airport and tell her that you have sold her to a couple from America because you can't afford to keep her anymore. Then when you see the weirdest looking loony couple walking through the arrivals gate, say: "There they are now sweetie, we'll miss you".

They'll be traumatized for life :D

He could try "Xtreme Dogging", it's where you show up at a Lidl car park during rush hour and start dogging. Indescribable buzz.

Pack up a picnic and go to Glendalough.

Stop by the visitors centre and get all the pamphlets on the trees and wildlife and see how many you and the little one can identify/spot and enjoy the fresh air and a lovely walk and the little one will love learning about nature.

Have a lovely picnic by the lake and teach her how to skim stones :)

Have a great day off with your family OP.

Jeremy Kyle all the way! Nothing better than feeling self righteous while loathing at the lowest society has to offer!

I'll be there around 4ish, if that time suits. I have access to a 7 seater so there's plenty of room for yourself and the misses.

No, I was kicked from the local society for being "too weird" and don't get anymore updates from them.

    Bunch of fascists imo.

if you don't have much money.......go to a cheap supermarket - buy some rolls, some cold meats or tuna, some soft drinks, some etc.

head out on a picnic to the beach or woods/park. Bring some games along.

chill out for the day with your kids - relax and enjoy the sunny weather.

and believe me.....home-made sandwich taste MAGNIFICANT when you are outdoors all day - beats shop bought ones any day.

then buy everyone a 99 for dessert and head home - ye will sleep like babies after all the fresh air.
