rotten smell from inside boiler

    hi, every so often my inside boiler stinks, and today is one of those days, its rotten any idea how to get rid of it? thanks

    I would turn it off and get an approved oil or gas service engineer to inspect it immediatley.

    It could be flue gases escaping from the boiler/flue/burner etc.

    But do not use until fully checked over.

    If it is an older type boiler with loose insulation inside the casing it could be a dead mouse! I have come across many when servicing. If the smell is a flue smell then of course get it checked.
