mixed feelings here.ireland would be nowhere without europe and although i feel we should stay in the euro zone, the bailout is where i draw the line.I dont feel we can get our figures in line with the rest of europe by 2018 and its the anglo bail out that will cause this.this will mean fines which we can ill afford....correct me if im wrong.so on that basis im not so sure.
Either way we are dammed if we do and dammed if we dont

All valid. Is a bit like a ball and chain though. Never liked the idea of free money as I believe there's no such thing.

Somewhere in between. Definitely not foe but not in best friend group either.

Possibly "generally unobjectionable work colleague who might occasionally socialise with but wouldn't have huge heap to discuss other than office-talk".

I would have to say that the so called "handouts" of the past, have left us in an extremely compromising and vulnerable position.

Too true,if we say no to europe our great government will hit us hard on budget day saying that we no longer have them on our side and we need money.
say yes and its austerity(business as usual). As always Joe public draws the short straw.

Unless a major rift or scandal brings the government down. Is kind of wishful thinking but in the current climate..not as far fetched as one would possibly think.
I'm going with a no vote. I don't fear the "possible " repercussions. I know for sure it wont break me. If I have to eat road kill...so be it. (not literally I hope)

I'm a no too,not to far off eating road kill as it is lol.......the only thing we do know about this government for sure is that we have been lied to since they took office. This idea that we will be cast adrift is cobblers. The eu/imf deal is already signed and will be there until 2014.
If Ireland go down, europe will too.A trump card Enda is afraid to use.
    Grow a pair Enda

    MOD REMINDER:
Please be advised that this OP falls way below the standards for posting in Politics, as well as in its Elections and Referendums sub-forum. The Politics and E&R charters clearly state:

If your OP consists of nothing more than a two-line thought that just popped into your head, don't start a thread.

And lastly, the thread title "Thank you...or FU EU?" dragged down the standards of the OP further, and used inappropriate language textspeak "FU" to bypass the boards.ie filter.
