    1. What is your budget? €300ish but I can stretch to €400 if needs be.

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? HTPC mainly, occasionally Minecraft and internet browsing.

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes.

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Nope.

    5. Do you need a monitor? Nope.

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? My plan will be for it to be mainly hooked up to a HD tv via HDMI but I may also use a small (17 inch HP w17e - 1440x900) monitor

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Nope.

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? I'd rather not but hardly necessary on this build.

    8. How can you pay? Laser, credit card, paypal.

    9. When are you purchasing? This week.

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Limerick.

I had a topic here before but I scrapped the idea and got a Boxee Box but that's no longer meeting my needs (alas quite a few movies don't play on it and freeze it, go figure) so I've decided to go with a HTPC and I'll probably head down the XBMC route.

I'd like to head down the compact and quiet route so am thinking mATX.
Do ethernet and wireless go without saying?
I have external HDs with content on them so a small SSD would be nice for the build but I'm ok with a traditional HD if price is an issue.
