The clip that holds the blades in place have broken (on both) and am now relying on good old cable ties.
Is the small clip - not the whole arm an order-able item or will I just get a set of normal arms from a breakers (and get new wipers)

Are you sure that the broken clip is part of the wiper arm and not part of the renewable wiper blades?
What model and year is the car and does it have the flat blade wipers

Yeah pretty sure (but could be mistaken)

Does your wiper look like number 7 or 7A in the diagram?

If its the older type like 7, everything you need to repair should be with the new blades as all that stays with the car is a solid metal hook at the end of the wiper arm.

If its the newer type like 7A, the arm is slightly different but I feel someone would have to have been very heavy handed to break the simple attachment system on the wiper arm although these do differ slightly from car to car.

Looks like 7 BUT it is not a 'hook' system.
The blade slides in and gets locked in by a locking clip that has broken.
