Hi I am looking for any advise on where to go for a few days break in Scotland or Wales. There are two adults and one teenager so we need a range of things to do to please everyone. If i was to take the ferry to France, would I have a long drive to get to somewhere nice over there. Any help would be appreciated.:)

    hi there
myself and my OH went to scotland last november for a few days and had a wonderful time. flew to edinburgh with ryanair from dublin. we spent 2 days in edinburgh and stayed in jurys. its a great city there is loads to see and do during the day and great pubs and restaurants. we then hired a car from hertz for something like 60pounds for 3 days and travelled up to inverness, lough ness and the highlands. it is an amazing place if u get the weather and are interested in the outdoors, u could spend weeks travelling around. three days was hardly enough. we then drove back to edinburgh and dropped off car @ airport. all in all a brilliant trip.
