Im looking at new drivers and have narrowed it down to these two.

Im looking for a lowish ball flight as i struggle in the wind with my current Ping G15.

Anyone got any experience with either of these and what spec might suit?

Im thinking 9.5 degree with stiff shaft with low kick point.

    razor fit no question.
definitely longer off the tee from my expierence and cheaper by €50 aswell.
Got mine with an aldila proto shaft. no extra cost but much better than stock shaft

to be honest, only you can answer your question. I'd go out and hit them both and then decide.

I'm of the firm opinion now that you need to just go to a range or your local pro shop and hit demo clubs.

Not to be blunt but I'm absolutely 100% calling bollox on making a club decision from what you read on the internet :)

I bought a Taylor Made Burner 2.0 on the reviews and readings of this forum among others. A great club, solid, a game improver they said!

Well the thing about drivers, and mainly drivers and putters, is you either suit it or you dont. Long story short the TM Burner didnt suit me, it was too much kick on the shaft and the ball flight was a low slice, durt.

Went through a few from the pro and then settled on a Titelist. And funny enough had an old one I hit well. So it just appears Titelist suits me well :)

There is some great people here on the board, and some smashing advice. But I think when it comes to a driver you just need to go hit a few yourself.

What I guess would be better put, is that if you have an idea that you need a new driver, the folks around here can give you smashing advice on shafts, driver types etc.

Then narrow yourself a list and then experiment.

So in this case you have two, why not go to a range, pro shop etc. and have a hit of each and see which one you like more?

    9.5 stiff.
only reason for shaft change is a lower ball flight

My post was in no way a snipe at anyone either btw, just feel especially with a driver you need to hit it yourself and decide you like it or not.

I remember watching a show on the Golf Channel that had the pros at one of the events go through their bags and ask them if they could keep one club what they would pick and they all said driver, sighting it as the hardest club to find one that suits, and that with so many shafts, lofts and now weights, you need to feel around.

Was recently fitted for a TM driver in Birr. Best money I ever spent! Can't recomend the guys highly enough. Pretty sure they stock Callaway aswell. Tons of shafts etc to try out plus Trackman. Amazing how much confidence you get knowing you have the right club in your hands.

Forget abt the 2 of them and go hit the new ZL encore by Cobra.
Its got the Fujikura Motore F1 or F3 shafts as standard which are quality pieces.

It an awsome machine and out performes my current ZL on multiple levels (trackman results).

Im saving up for one as we speak..:D:D

Forget abt the 2 of them and go hit the new ZL encore by Cobra.

Or just go the whole hog and buy the Long Tom. 48 inch shaft! You will spray it everywhere but at least you will be able to look your wife in the eye when you get home.

    Wife: How was golf dear?
Husband: That 48 incher is a beast. I just can't control it.
Wife: Kids, you're making your own dinner tonight. Daddy is going to be busy.
