Saw a Exeo yesterday and I had forgotten they existed. They must have sold feck all. Does anyone own one ?

I wonder did Seat leave it to a couple of years late to launch this saloon when they did? or did it not really sell because of the the badge and the fear of how it would sink in value regardless of being part of the VAG group.

When they do show up on the second hand market will they be a good buy?

I've seen one or two recently registered ones, and you think to youself - just how clueless are the owners that they've bought a very old Passat rebadget as a Seat ...

30 of them on Carzone and most of them look like demos.

    Wouldn't touch one.
Way over priced for what they are.

VAG were selling this as the A4 up until 2008.
    Wiki
New prices for the saloon from carzone:
    Exeo: €26,790 - €33,870
    A4: €32,770 - €58,940

Looks like a good idea from here.

It's pretty old hat now, but the engines are the new CR ones and it's not a massive car like a lot of new stuff

All seat had to do was redesign the lights, and they made a bit of bags of that

I kinda like them, but dunno if I'd actually buy one

Estate is not a bad looking car, I would imagine these are really rare.

The side view is just like an A4.

All the sheet metal bar the boot door is the same as the a4

Side profile of the estate from that picture does look very like the avant.

I think there is something a bit off about the design of the front, it looks a bit like the front of the Ibiza which I personally dont like.

This is what I think when I see one - SEATAUDISEAT

It's an A4 with a Seat front and back. It did what it was supposed to do by offering a cheap saloon and Seat had very few, if any saloons, closest of which was the Toledo which is basically a Bora and Cordoba (Polo) so instead of designing one from scratch, Audi let them go through their parts bin.

I don't really like the look of them and I wouldn't buy one but if you like it then go for it.

Have to agree with you on that one, Had on on hire in Spain last year, Very nice to drive and very comfortable but then again you would expect that from an Audi :)

Toledo is based on the Bora , basically a Leon with a boot.
Seen as the VAG already had a comprehensive list of saloons with VW, Skoda and Audi hitting all areas you would wonder why they bothered with the Exeo.

Easy, they spent money designing the old a4. This was a way of still making money from an old design and keeping seat workers busy at the same time, while making it look a bit odd so as not to compete with the new a4

The Exeo was only even seen as a stop gap model. It was admitted to by the company at launch that this was only until the launch of other models after the demise of the MPV-like Toledo.

To be honest it should be a decent long term bet. The engines are the newer offerings, the rest of the car should have all the snags ironed out by now and the spec is decent.

I'd have one over a similar engined Octavia.

I dont see alot wrong with them, at the right price of course. Its the A4 which was sold up to 08. Its got updated engines and also what I would argue is a nicer interior than the old A4 saloon had as I believe the dash is now the one that was fitted to the A4 convertible previously. Sure, they have made it alittle more ugly than an A4 but that was to be expected. Having said all that, depreciation would likely be the stumbling block as even if priced a few thousand below a passat or even jetta, it still might not make sense financially. At Octavia money, it would be a runner though given that the Octavia is ugly as sin and is cheap inside.

The majority of them that have gone out this year have been on fleet or hire cars. When I was picking up my cat last month there was 30 boggo spec black Exeos just regged & ready to go out to a company fleet!
