Distance Selling Regulation

    Hey guys,

Can someone confirm for me the distance selling regulation for Ireland? I have bought an item and received it yesterday - the DSR states that I can return without reason within 7 days of receiving the item.

My main question is, surely I can't be charged a restocking fee of 25% during this stage?

Yea it was bought online from another Irish company and it wouldn't be an exempt product. I just wanted to confirm that as I had a feeling this was the case.

    Thanks

When you say another Irish company, it gives the impression that maybe you were acting in the capacity of your company when you bought this product. If that's the case then the distance selling regulations do not apply, as they are specific to consumers buying from companies. If a company buys a product, then consumer protection does not apply.

If however this was a your own personal purchase, and not a company purchase, then the DSR rules do apply, and they cannot charge a restocking fee.
