my girlfirend and i are both tied in with contracts to vodafone and upc. she has her mobile, her landline and her broadband with vodafone, while i have my broadband, landline and telly with upc. she is now moving in with me and wants to cancel the contract, except for the mobile, but will she be liable for the rest of the contract?

To some degree or other, I'd imagine. It depends on the contract and th T&Cs.

Best bet is to contact them and simply ask.

Contact vodafone and say she's moving out and into a new place that provides this as an included service. You might get lucky.
