    Reminds me of those races where you find out your "10k" pb was only over 9.6k.

    The guy that counts to 10 was sick that day.

    Reminds me of helping out at the local county community games finals a few years back.

    We were setting up the "hurdles" (actually sticks placed on top of sticks which were hammered into the ground). The race was due to be 60 meters. So I said, lets do 10 meters run in and run out, thats 20 meters. So 60-20 = 40 meters, so we setup 5 flights of hurdles , 10 metres apart. To which I was told was incorrect cause clearly 40 / 10 was 4, not 5!!!, so there would only need to be 4 flights. I argued it with the organisers, but the guy in charge was adamant that my calculations were completely flawed, and I didn't know what I was talking about. I gave up after a banging my head sufficiently hard off the wall, and so a 50 meters hurdle race took place.

    Maybe the person in quesiton has since move to Manchester!!!
