Car finding service?

I may be in need of a new car because mine is pretty much fooked. The thing is, I'm really flat out busy at the moment and literally don't have the time to look for one myself.

I heard of a place a while back that will find and buy a car on your behalf in return for a finders fee. You just give them the specs etc that you're after and they'll do the leg work. It's only a cheap little car I'm after but I'd be interested to know if these places actually exist anyway.

If you're that stretched for time get a recommendation for a reputable dealer or mechanic and just call into him, several mechanics I know would and do source cars for their regular customers when required.

If you're only looking for something cheap, you have to put in the legwork

Yea, I know from previous experience that this is very much the truth. I think I'm going to try and get my current car fixed because I'm so short on free time.

I'm sure this service exists though, I heard the guy from the company on Matt Cooper a while back. He was talking about how the traditional dealership model just wasn't working for him anymore and that this was the future for them. As far as I remember they also 'buy your car for cash'. I'm just curious as to if they're still around.

    What's your budget?

Not to be smart, but boards excels at this. Tell us what you want, how much, and you'll be given only about a million billion options.

    I'd only have about €2000

I'm really not looking for suggestions or anything. Just the name of this company. It's bugging the hell out of me now. I know I wasn't imagining it

The guy was very pleased with it as a business model... it's obviously not going that well if nobody has heard of it :D

So does this buyer fella give a warranty?

Is there any advantage over something like an aa check?

I think there is a gap in the market for this service when it comes to new cars - i.e. you tell me what kind of car you want and what your budget is, and I'll go away and find you the best options and the best price for a small fee.

There's too many pitfalls with it when it revolves around used cars though.

Save yourself time and money and spend 10 minutes max posting a thread on this forum saying what your budget is and requirements are and let the regular boardsies go off and have a gander at what's there online and get back to you.

Once you have an idea of what to look for go out and test drive a few and go from there. It's not that time-consuming test driving a few motors.

    *cough cough* Bangernomics?

I know you got bitten pretty bad by your last car, judging by the thread, but really, a cheap car is posted there every day that would serve you for a good while no problem.

Sure it's worked for me at any rate...
