    Martin Jessopp has broke the top speed record at this years NW200.

    He hit an unbelievable 208mph on his Ducati 1198 superbike in 1st practice.
    He rekons theres more in the bike and also in him,so there could be a 210+ mph top speed at some stage this week.

    208mph on a country road,lined with trees and lamp posts and telephone poles.

    Unreal indeed.:eek::D

    To put it in context, Tom Sykes was doing 211mph in Monza a few weeks ago in WSB, fastest speed ever there too!! Series balls these road racers have, big respect to them.

    Also The Manx radio TT365 app (android &iphone) is broadcasting a feed from bbc ulsters commentary if anybody wants to listen to the racing from the northwest today.

    Speed like that in road racing is unbelievable. It's one thing in a track scenario but on a road, that is just unbelievable! Fair balls to him.

    I was watching an old video of Joey Dunlop on youtube recently, 99 Ulster Grand Prix - what a legend!

    Thought the 190 mph the Superstock bikes were doing in the wet was even more impressive.

    I remember the riders complaining about the speed a few years ago. There where going so fast it was pushing in the front brake lever, they had to push the lever out to stop slowing down:D

    Martin Jessopp did 208mph twice that week,so the 1st time was no fluke.

    I wonder what sort of speed he will achieve with the 1198 during the TT??

    I see that Dunlop and Sealy wouldnt shake hands at the end of the race.Sealy chopped accross Dunlop and clipped his handlebar,allmost forcing him off the road.

    Dunlop was fuming at the end of the race,and claimed that Sealy used dirty tactics to win the race from him.

    Sealy basicly said "tough sh1t" and that Dunlop should be used to that type of riding from the BSB.

    Harsh words from Sealy?????????

    He thought he was doing 213. Believe it or not their was wheel spin that accounted for the difference!
