Can anybody help I have a 5ft fleming topper that has a oil leak from underneath is there an oil seal that has maybe started to leak or has anybody had experience of the same. It is more than just a weep.

    Something like this?:
    6034073

The shaft that carries the rotor underneath comes down from the gearbox, and that'll have a seal to keep the oil in.
    It's this seal that's failed.

You'll likely have to take the rotor off and then see what access to the seal is like.
On a small topper like your 5 foot, it may even be possible to do it by turning the machine over and not taking the gearbox off at all.

Topper gearbox seals fail for various reasons:
They get really old and brittle
Wire/timber gets hammered into them by the rotor
The bearings in the gearbox get loose and the shaft can wobble, wearing the seal
The rotor gets badly unbalanced and causes a wobble in the shaft as above
