Moving from Dublin to Cork - Can I transfer FETAC?

    Hi.

I am looking at doing a FETAC course, but wondering if I start one in Dublin (for example) but for work reasons I have to move to Cork, could I continue my course there? Obviously the same course would need to be available in both locations.
Any help /advice that anyone could provide would be great. Thanks!!

No, the colleges or wherever you would do the course, are providers that are independent of each other, they would not have any financial links that would allow for transferring.

And in fact there is no guarantee that the course would be similar enough for you to do it. While the structure and subject matter would be the same, one college could do AB and C at the start of the course, and X Y and Z at the end. If the other college started with X Y and Z you would find yourself doing the same stuff over again. The way FETAC courses are structured you could get the same qualification for courses that were superficially quite different.

If you have some modules completed (you have the certs for them) then you could go to a different provider and do other modules to make up your certificate.
