Its call stealth pricing, you mess up - you pay.

Takes the pleasure out of flying unless you bring a ruck sack on your back less than the recommended size and weight

jesus thats desperate, i do prefer aerlingus, but recently ryanair prices seem ok my mam was over there a couple of wks ago and went to book her for aug again and saw the price  , we were thinking of goin on a family hol me and my 2 kids & my folks so would have to carry the usual baby/toddler bits so id limit myself to a case (hopefully)...altho priced aerlingus and they are alot better ...

    thanks for that link :)

Ryanair will make far more off people heading to sun resorts with (arguably necessary) checked in luggage than city hoppers heading to buckingham palace to wave union jacks for a weekend.

Anyhow, if you really need to get to the uk cheap - get the bus to Newry City. Free luggage conveyance too on Bus Eireann.

I know I have to say when I was pricing flights to Spain for September I was a bit  when I copped Ryanairs checked baggage charges. I knew they charged, heck I knew Aer Lingus started charging a few year back, but I hadn't realised it was going to be as steep of a hit as 50 squids per person there and back :(

I just handed over 140 for baggage today. Two 20kg bags to Malta and back. I wept...

    Mad, were you unaware?

At least now you are appraised and will strive from this point on to make Ryan air work harder for your money. You could have had a good night out with 140€ ;)

I knew it was coming, priced it into the cost of the holiday. Can't pack light!

Yet another reason to fly Ryanair, why pay more for less when Aer Lingus is usually around the same price or quite often cheaper?
