Can anyone help me identify this guitar

    Hey Guys

I recently picked up this guitar and have so far been unable to identify it and was hoping someone on here might be able to steer me in the right direction. The name on the headstock says New Sound but I don't think this is the actual neck belonging to the guitar as it has a little space at either side of the neck pocket so is not a atight fit at all. It seems to be rather old but thats all I can really say to be honest. Anyone recognise the body. Cheers

Thats the headstock. I may be wrong and it may belong to the guitar. I can't find anything about the make online.

Cool looking guitar - looks Japanese in make (the PUP & the shape)

I have one of these in red. Headstock says New Sound too, and body is identical (at least it was up to a few months ago) so I would say it is the original neck.

I picked it up about twenty years ago in a local second-hand shop. Never found out anything about it though.

My scratch plate broke, so I had to make a new one, and I stripped it, planning on changing the bridge etc., but now I'm putting it back as it was. I have a humbucker to go in to the neck position, though.

Thanks guys. Thats a great help. At least i know its the right neck now and I was thinking it was Japanese myself. I have sent the pictures to a guy who runs a blog about unusual guitars. He said hell look into it for me. Noby would you like me to let you know if I find out any more info.:)

    Hi,

I have an old guitar with some of the same parts as yours...

It has Chaser on the headstock...

As far as I know they are old japanese Tiesco guitars that were re-branded for different shops in various parts of the world...

If you do a google search on Tiesco you will find lots of similar guitars...

    Hope this helps ;))

Thanks for that. Had a quick search earlier.
My one has had several mods, but almost finished putting it back to it's original layout. Had to make a new pickguard so used an old 12" lp. Might stick up a few pics when I'm done.
