Is my Redundancy Lump Sum Taxable ?

Hi Folks I'm hoping someone can help me here.

I am leaving work after being out with a long term illness (Heart Problems) and my employer has agreed to pay me a redundancy package due to disability.

I know that the statutory package is tax free, but I am being charged 41% on my lump sum. Am I not entitled to my lump sum tax free?

Is this too vague a question?

Sorry but this isn't the place to go for free personal advice. It you want to discuss the taxability of termination payments generally then that's fine.

If you want personal advice spend the couple of quid and get proper advice.

    I'm closing this thread.
