    Hi all,
I am new to this site and have spent a good while looking over it - it seems to be a great way to find out things and also connect to everything and anything you need.
I have been a stay at home mam for the last 5 years and have really enjoyed it, but I am ready to get back to work now and I would be really grateful if there is anyone that can help me out with advise or more!
I would love to get into jewellery making and design. Now I haven't just pulled this out of thin air - I have previously worked making jewellery from home for a shop in Dublin city and in a jewellery wholesalers, as well as making jewellery for myself as a hobby. But what I would love is to learn the proper skills of metal work and silversmithing. I know that there are courses in the likes of NCAD, but it costs alot to go to college now, and besides I would prefer a much more hands on approach to learning.
Again, I would be so grateful to anyone that can help me out, thanks.

    OK - that'll help :)

I just came across this one but it's in Dublin. There wasn't anything listed for your area on the CCOI website, but I would say take a look at their listings, you might see something.

Also, check this for info if you haven't already come across it :)

Not sure if you can travel to skerries but this guy does classes. As far as i know the classes are small with not more than a few students at a time so im guessing it would be very hands on. Iv thought about doing a few classes myself.

He also won that rte craft show thingy last year http://www.craftinireland.com/news/article/craft-master-winner/

    best of luck with it
