The link below will show you a picture of A pile of guns displayed at a news conference after an annual Gun Buyback Program which netted 1,673 firearms over the weekend, marking a four-year low shown at the Los Angeles Police headquarters in Los Angeles on Monday, May 14, 2012. A local supermarket chain donated $200,000 in gift cards to give out in exchange for the guns.
So how many different types can you spot ? :D

Pumps and lever actions clearly still rule the roost in LA.

That's not a bad way of getting a few quid for a junker you don't want anymore :)

Here's how to really do it in style, I think this may be in LA too, but not sure. I have a very dangerous H&R break action shotgun set aside & ready to do my duty when a program opens near me.

The Brother-in-Law (Guard) recently brought a load of guns up to Dublin for destruction, most where legally held voluntary hand ins, not all where junkers and a good few had whistles and bells attached i.e. scopes, sling etc…….. What a waste.

    Gun "buy" back program ...

So a felon can possess a gun, illegal at that, and no questions are asked.

So a felon can traffick a weapon, no questions asked.

So a felon can circumvent the state and federal laws that require gun transfers to go through an ffl, no questions asked.

So someone, attorney general or politician, is able to take the tax payers dollars and offer them for illegal activities. Where does this person get the right to ignore established law?

    Interesting...

Ever watch a tv show called "Blue Bloods" on Sky Atlantic?

There was an episode where a preacher started a gun buy back program with a no questions asked policy. A day previously a shooting happened with a customised 1911 pistol.

A police officer noticed the customised pistol and took a picture of the man handing in the gun that was wanted for serious crime.
The officer got into a lot of hot water as she breached the- no questions asked policy.

The police managed to use old school detective work to track the culprit.

But that series and what FISMA wrote in his post would make you think? People would do anything to take illegal weapons off the streets but would sacrifice it for solving previous crimes.
