Hi, i had a small injury to the ligament in my AC joint in my shoulder... i've had physio for the last 2 weeks on it and today i am supposed to be back lifting "lighter" weights to see how it feels.

Can anyone recommend any weight lifting exercises that do not require much emphasis on the shoulder. I plan to exercise my shoulder using a mixture of workouts using light dumb bells, but i would also like to be able to work my arms, back and chest with minimum emphasis on my shoulder (which i know is difficult).

Would i be right in saying that machine exercises would be best for my shoulder... can anyone recommend any in particular, thanks in advance...

As above you should have asked the physio, nobody here knows the extent of the injury so you should not follow any advice. If you have his email you could try asking without having to fork out for another visit. They really should have told you anyway so its not cheeky to ask.

Thanks for the replies guys... knew this was coming ;)

He told me i should be back to normal with it within a week after doing some light exercises on it... so that means back to normal routine...

However, i don't want to put pressure on it by diving back in next week so was hoping for a few tips...
