Hi Sonye, have just done a course in Tipp. Inst on resource management which included a little sustainability and planning so in in the absence of anybody else I may be better than nothing,

There are a few courses available in Ireland:

School of Spatial Planning, DIT: various courses

School of Natural Sciences, TCD: MSc in Environment and Development
School of Architecture, UCD: Various courses

Just note that if you want to actually qualify as a town planner, there aren't many short cuts and you have to do a course recognised by the Irish Planning Institute:

    http://www.irishplanninginstitute.ie/education-and-careers/

If, on the other hand, you are looking for an understanding of planning within the context of sustainable development, you have more options.
