    Hey all

Ive got a really weird question

I am going to apply for BTEA for a course in the Uk. Physics B.Sc. Now assuming if the course is approved from the Irish side of the funding, can I get a student load to cover the £9,000 each year from the Uk government. Ill pay that back obviously. Im a Uk and Irish national if that helps

I dont see why not its a loan you will be getting not a grant. Obviously it will be up to the uk government as to whether they approve the loan. I would like to know why you would put yourself in debt for a uni course when you could possibly do the same course here and possibly get btea and the grant portion to cover fees if you qualify.

As this question is more about a student loan rather than a question in relation to a State benefit, I am moving this thread to Banking & Insurance & Pensions where you may get more informed answers in relation to loans.

..and as its more student finance related and not a commercial finance product, I hope it has a happy home here :)

no, Irish students can avail of a loan (for the grant u have to be UK)

the stu load comp are a separate biz, on the net somewhere, TDA site will link to them.

OP, did the DSFA approve your BTEA knowing your course is in the UK?
