As regards boarding passes, you should be able to print out for both outward & return flights, I always print a couple of spares just in case

Baggage is restricted to one piece per passenger.
    The maximum dimensions for a cabin bag are: 55cm x 40cm x 20cm or 22in x 16in x 8in.
Baggage must weigh under 10 kgs/22lbs and be small enough to fit in overhead bins or under your seat.
    These limits are strictly enforced.
Additional small items (camera, personal stereo, overcoat, handbag or laptop) are allowed

theres no need to panic. Especially from Cork which is much more laid back and easy to navigate than say a large(ish) airport like Dublin.

Handluggage allowance is on the website. One bag of 10kg and it must be inside specified dimensions. Each child can bring a piece too. Just be sure to checkin any liquids to avoid any hassle, and if you must bring liquids then you can only bring bottles of max 100ml and they must be gathered up in a 1L zippie bag

Also no need to print out boarding pass in advance on the way out or back if you dont want to. You have luggage to hand in anyhow so can simply checkin as normal. With Aer Lingus theres no charge for not having the boarding pass printed out in advance.
And at cork the queues are minimal and move quickly. I flew in the morning last saturday week and the mrs and kids 3 days later and neither of us was waiting for more than 5 minutes in the queue to checkin.

If you want to save on time in the morning and not do breakfast at home, the bar behind security does a pretty decent fry up for less than a fiver!

OP is flying with Aer Lingus so can't print off return boarding passes unless they're flying to one of about 3 airports in the UK and returning within 3 days.

    100%

I'd also emphasise that Cork airport is bleedin tiny.
From long term car park to checkin is a 5 minute walk.
From checkin to security is only 30seconds up an escalator.
From having passed through security to your gate is 30seconds to a minute walk.
It couldnt be easier to be honest.

If you have a smart phone, you can check in online with your mobile and the Aerlingus App and it sends your boarding pass as a QR code Picture.

Save this to your phone and bobs your uncle. I fly with Aerlingus 2 times a week and the check in with the phone is the greatest thing ever.

With Aer Lingus you can check in at the airport (the old fashioned way) for your return leg! You don't have to have checked in online or anything like that.

If travelling in a group it's easier to check in at the airport. on the app you can only check in 1 at a time. Which can take a while and if your trying to seat the family together it can be more tricky.
