don't worry, it's not about any specific system, or AGS operating procedures but more about TETRA on a whole, posted it here because this is where most of the TETRA system threads pop up (please move to elsewhere if mods find it fits in better)

    anyways

When TETRA in the UK was first rolled out, Air Support was still on analogue radio links which were fed into the various talk groups ...

How was this problem overcome, and allowed air units to use the TETRA system ?

I know there are dedicated A2G channels in the TETRA channel plan

Am I right in that some base stations are equipped as "super cells" which have a radius of 80 - 100 KM dedicated to A2G comms and the stream is fed into whatever talkgroup it is required ?

AGS Air Support Unit are in full communication with ground units all over the country.

    example.

If you want to know the specifics of the Tetra system I advise you to contact Tetra Ireland.
