Ford Maverick Gearbox problem

    i bought a ford maverick latly and it is finding reverse but wont stay in, keeps poping out and grinding and tear, it is going perfect in every other gear,
    If anyone has any ideas what i could try next without changing the gearbox because it is not worth paying a mechanic 2 do it and i havnt a pitt to work in yet

    They are usually bulletproof hence lack of replys!

    Hopefully it's a simple detent or selector problem but try asking on the Nissan 4x4 forum (Maverick is a rebadged Terrano), looks like you'll need to register to view the technical areas.
