    looking for some help.

I have payment protection ins on Credit Card but just recently discovered that It did not cover me while I was living in Australia for 4 years, when I contacted credit card co. to request refund I was told that It was my fault for not telling them and there is nothing they could do.

    Does this sound right?

were you living in Oz, paying the card bill + insurance and then became redundant or something???

Was lilving in oz and paying min payment incl insurance for the 4 years, but I would not have been entitled to make any claim as I was not living & working in ireland - Therefore Insurance was effectively useless.

Presumably you were living in Ireland when you agreed to take out the insurance, it would have been your responsability to amend/cancel it when your circumstances changed.

you should have told them you were leaving the country and see how it affects your policy. How were they to know you went and no longer wanted the cover?

No chance you could get a refund.

Indeed - unfortunately this was your oversight, not that of the card issuer/insurers!
