Anyone know what John Moriarty's turn-around is like on repairs/work? I'm thinking of getting my Les Pauls frets cleaned up. It's getting on in years and could do with some attention.

I've previously gone to Derrick Nelson but I can't really afford to wait several weeks as it's my only electric guitar.

I too am interested in this, as well as prices for setup work. He's only about 5 minutes down the road from me in Dundrum

Definitely not a couple of weeks anyway.

I got three guitars set up by him around a year ago and they were ready in 3 or 4 days.

Reliable guy, and does great work, shouldn't be too long a wait.

How is he with acoustics? I'm interested in getting my 1974 Ibanez dreadnought fixed up. It's got uber-sentimental value so really important it gets done right.

Specifically, I'm looking at getting the box and neck checked for warping, making sure the braces, etc. are fine.

No better man for it, sarkozy. He builds acoustic guitars.
