Just came home and found a mid-sized female dog in our yard. She has black and white spots on her body and a black head. She's about the size of a young labrador. She looks like she could be some sort of spaniel cross.

We have 2 full males here, one of which is a great dane, so we can't keep her.

We're just after the Luffany roundabout, before you get to the Rhu Glenn.

She is after running off up the land behind our house but if she comes back I will try to get a photo of her and put it up here.

If anyone knows where she might be missing from, please pm me.

Here's a picture of her. She's wearing a red collar but no tag. We've given her something to eat, which she is wolfing down. We've been gone since about 3p.m. so we don't know when she actually came in here so we said we'd feed her and give her water just in case.

She looks very thin, so maybe it's a case of someone just dropped her off :(

A stray wandered in here last July and we kept him (couldn't find his owner and when we did - months later - he said we could keep him because he seemed happy here) so we've two full males here. If it was another male, who was able to cope with our great dane, we'd have no problem holding onto it until we could find the owner but we just can't. Hoping someone will come forward or she'll have to go to a rescue.

if youre going to keep her get her neutered and she wont be a problem around your male dogs

Won't be keeping her, we've our hands full here. As it is I'm on crutches at the moment until at least mid-June so there's no way we can take on another dog.

Well done Pixibean on taking care of her for the moment. She looks a lovely dog and surely somebody is looking for her.

She was gone this morning when we got up. She could be roaming around on our land or gone elsewhere, no idea, or hopefully, she has gone home.
