vlc Player - Playback errors

Last night I downloaded 4 songs from dropbox to vlc player and then did a 'save to file' and when it asked to choose the file format, there was a choice of 4 (files names which I never heard of before, so I just chose the first one as it was highlighted, *xspf

Saved the songs and exited vlc and then went back in and it played the songs with no problems.

It would play individual track or the whole lot from the folder option.

lads any idea why it won't play them now.:(

Why did you do this?

Could you not save to your Desktop in the Format you uploaded them (MP3?) and play them from there with VLC?



I've never used Dropbox (I've no need for it).

That error is looking in your temp directory for the songs, so it must be some sort of a link you saved. You'll need to re-download the music and as Avalance suggests save them onto the desktop.

I know the simple ways are always best,

Don't know why vlc asks to save playlist to a choice of 4 different file formats anyway....

It spotted you were trying to listen to Mary Black and is trying to save you.:p


Or it's cause they're portable work anywhere open source formats.

I'd never listen to the Radio so the only time I'd really hear it is in the Car (CD), which I don't be in much. That version is better than the original.
