Would anyone be able to let me know how to go about putting a square around a diagram in a MS Word document.

I did this a few weeks ago, but can't for the life of me remember how I did it...:)

    Thanks!

Insert a text box then cut and paste the diagram into it.

I've just tried that and it states, "You cannot put drawing objects into a text box, callout, comment, footnote or endnote."

I'm stumped then - that's what I always do and never had any problems

Select the picture, then go to Picture Tools > Format > Picture Border/Picture Effects

I couldn't seem to find "Picture Tools" in MS Word 2010 for some reason.

I've just remembered what I previously did however.

I pasted the diagram into MS Paint, put the box around it there, then copied it back to the Word document!

Oh, that's for Word 2007, didn't realise you meant 2010.

Office 2010, select anywhere on your diagram and goto the home menu, select the borders and shading button (right of the fill button).
At the bottom select borders and shading. Select what ever type of border formating you want (pts, box or shadow, fill, etc.) and make sure you apply it to the paragraph.
    Hope that helps anyone else.
