Can anybody direct me to a hairdresser in Dublin who can manage short hair without trying to 'soften' it or something without me asking them to. I'm basically looking for somewhere that can do what would be loosely described as an alternative lifestyle haircut. I'm getting really frustrated with these stupid hairdressers who no matter how I phrase it give me the same stupid hair thats the complete opposite of what I asked them to do.

Could you bring a picture with you to show the hairdresser what you want? Try somewhere like Lunatic Fringe or House of Colour.

Hopefully you find the right place. Short edgy hairstyles are the most attractive thing a woman can have in my opinion and its a real pity not more have it.

Totally feel your pain... i wanted a choppy long bob but ended up with layers which i didnt want, and now its grown out a bit & hair underneath curls up so i have a rachel from friends look, that i wanted in 1997 but was told my hair wouldn't suit!!! Going back in photo in hand!!!

Lunatic Fringe - Grafton Street - go to Tamar or go to Ozlo in George's St arcade - girl called Laura. These are both great hairdressers who have no issues about going alternative, I've had Mohawks and all sorts of punk creations goin on!
