I have a number of old silver trophies which are taking up space. I would like to sell them for their silver content. Wondering where would be the best place to sell ?
    Grateful for any advice

Chances are that they are silver plate - i.e not of much value - are they hallmarked? Weir's of Grafton Street, Dublin would probably put you on the right track. If you're not in the Dublin area most good auction rooms would be able to give you some idea of value and are probably the best place to sell.

Yes they do have the silver marks Birmingham and London and are quite heavy. Many thanks for the advice . It didnt occur to me that retail outlets would be interested in this kind of thing.
