House Swap (Limerick to Dublin)

    Hi guys,

    So I own a 3-bed semi-d in a nice area in Limerick. I guess it's valued between 170-200k.

My kids are in college in Dublin and I want a house for them.

Do any of you know if there is a property advisor / estate agent who might be able to find me a person in Dublin who would be up for swap?

It would be much easier than buying and selling especially in such uncertain times...

If you have some advice I would love to hear it :)

Do you mean a temporary swap? I would imagine this would be hard to find, it would probably be easier to rent out your house and then rent a property in Dublin

    I meant permanent swap.

I'd also be happy to add some cash and bring the value up to around 300k.

I'm just worried that not very many people are moving from dublin to limerick at the minute...

I don't see the advantage to this, I think it would still have to go through the formalities of buying and selling. What advantage do you see, maybe I'm missing something!
