Wife loves her Prius but we have number 3 on way. Oldest will be four then so will be looking at one booster, one rear facing and one suitable for two year old.
Is there any decent hybrid mpv that can fit three seats?

Sorry cant think of anything. There the Prius v but I have never seen on and don't expect it to be wider. Other than that the Lexus jeep but the is heavy on fuel by comparison to a Prius.

What about the full ev Nissan leaf? Or a dare I say it the diesel car of your choice.

The only big hybrid I can think of is the Lexus RX450h. I'm not even sure how well they could handle 3 child seats and you need a very big budget 50k-60k second hand.

You would have much more options if you went down the modern diesel route. they can often offer better MPG to many hybrids. what kind of mileage are you doing?

The LS comes in hybrid too, the LS600h. They've been out a good while and seem quite popular, relatively speaking, you might pick up a used one. No idea how hybrids fare/operate in the used market though, I'd be looking carefully at warranty/maintenance of the batteries and motors.

There's a Previa hybrid which you see occasionally as a Japanese import. Think its still a 2.4 petrol engine so pre 2008 tax is still ~€1k. Diesel may be a better option if overall running costs are your primary concern.

Have you tried fitting 3 seats in the back of the current prius? You might be surprised

If tax wasn't a concern you could get a Lexus rx400h the tax is over €1k but an 07 is around 15 to 17k

There's a 7 seater Prius + coming later on this year, no idea about prices, specs etc yet.

The Peugeot 3008 is now available as a diesel + hybrid. Crazy money though.

Thanks guys for advice. Thinking it might have to be diesel. Maybe a 2.0tdi touran if they do that engine.
