Dead Man Walking - Mystery couple?

    Greetings movie buffs....

I just watched Dead Man Walking (again) and for the first time, I noticed during a critical scene what appear to be the reflections in a window of two people who don't appear to be actually in the room.

I'm trying to avoid spoilers, although maybe that's not really necessary with this movie. This YouTube clip shows it better from 10:36 to 10:43 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaEGK1bbxCQ .

If it's who I think it is, it's an interesting touch by the filmakers, but I never noticed it before. Maybe everyone else has, though, and that's why it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere.

Am I noticing the bleedin' obvious or reading too much into what I'm seeing?

    Stork

Well spotted! I didn't notice the couple when I recently watched this on DVD though admittedly it was on a small 4:3 TV screen with sub-optimal image quality. I hadn't watched the film since I saw it in the cinema and my memory isn't good enough for me to remember if I'd spotted them the first time around.

It's a very powerful film with a lot of strong emotion in that climactic scene. The couple are who you think you are and I'd say including them adds to the effectiveness of the scene. Depicting them observing the execution could have been intended as a window into what might have been going through the mind of Poncelet now that he had finally accepted the enormity of his crimes.
