Applying for first Driving Licence

    I passed my test on Monday last week (30/04/2012...yay!), and posted my application to Dublin City Council that day with all the required documentation that day. It says on the form that you will then receive your licence within 5 working days, however I have not yet received mine. I tried calling but had to give up after being on hold 25 minutes, and emailed also to no avail yet, mostly because I'm afraid that they may not have received it and if it got lost in the post, well then I have a whole host of other problems.

    I suppose in an attempt to pacify my worry, since I can't get through to confirm whether they have received it or not, I'm just wondering whether anyone else has experienced delays in receiving their licence back after applying for it? I just know I'm still technically not supposed to take down the L plates or drive on my own until I have that shiny new pink licence in my hands!

    P.S. Wasn't 100% sure if this is the right spot for this, so feel free to move if necessary.

    Finally got through to them just now, received and being processed. Thanks anyway....can lock/delete as required.
