2/ Yvonne Mc Nevin at 56/7kg fighting a Welsh girl

3/ Gary Manogue at 71kg fighting a Welsh guy.

Jut to mention that this show will be sanctioned by the International Kickboxing Federation and it will be my first time to referee a show in Waterford too so I'm looking forward to this. Always a pleasure to see Gary Manogue in action who is the best 70 kilo kickboxer Ireland has to offer with a record of 16-0

IKF promoter Pat Rockett put together a first class International Kickboxing show in the Crystal Nightclub, Waterford on Saturday culminating in an action packed IKF All Ireland Lightweight Title fight between the countrys two top seeds Shane mc Connell from Waterford and Shane Marum from Portlaoise.
These two fighters both won their eliminator bouts for the right to fight for the title and it turned out to be an excellent contest with Mc Connell taking the laurels on this occasion.
Marum was determined and hit the scales on the money at the weigh ins but Mc Connell, who had to go and drop weight, seemed to have that little bit exrtra and landed some crisp shots on the Portlaoise man which caught the judges eyes.
Gary Manogue from Galway Black Dragon took on Welsh hard man Andrew Davies in a 4 round International bout and although it went the distance with some good exchanges, Manogue took the win bringing his record to 17 and 0.
Yvonne Mc Nevin from Galway took on Chloe Thomas from Wales on a weeks notice and managed to get a well deserved draw and Junior fighter Troy Nolan from Galway defeated Waterfords Ryan Erkal in an entertaining contest in both young mens full contact debuts.
