We have 2 daughters aged 12 and 15(looks older!). We've been to Lanzarote and Majorca(a few times). We'd like somewhere different.

We like to be close to the beach. We like the pool and taking it easy/lazy. Occasional sightseeing, market, waterpark maybe. We don't want the clubs and pubs scene. Nice restaurants will do. Yes I know we're boring.

What we liked about Majorca and Lanzarote - nice and warm, temperatures not extreme and lovely breezes, nice accomodation, airconditioning, nice places to eat.

What we didn't like about Lanzarote - not only was the Atlantic ocean chilly, the pools were really cold - it was August. Think it was because it was so windy. Younger child was blue most of the week.

We love the med. well I do. (We also love to fly from Shannon but that really restricts destinations so - irrelevant)

Looking at places like Zakynthos but a bit concerned about it being REALLLY HOT. We are wise to sunfactors etc but don't want to have to spend the afternoons indoors.

Looking for advice, suggestions, histories etc. We want the sun and some breezes.

Kusadasi is nice at that time of year with Sun and a nice sea breeze. Its not as cheap there as Lanzarote and its worth while to remember not to shop when the liners are in. Many hotels are family friendly an have stuff for everyone. Good shopping if you can haggle you will love it. Sights are ten a penny like the famous ephisis but go before 12 noon or prepare to be the human fireball. If you like any more info just ask

    Thanks.

Thought the heat would be mad there in August!
I know there aren't any guarantees.
