had a chest infection recently which turned into pneumonia but antibiotics and steroids have put me back on track. back exercising this week (just walking but pace and distance is increasing day by day) but i'm hoping to get back to training in jiu jitsu as soon as i can but as its pretty intense i want to make sure i'm right before i do, don't want a relapse! a couple of people have told me about these udo super 8 probiotics, i'm wondering if these will help in anyway to get me back on track sooner??? are they more for digestion problems??

Anti biotics kill alot of bacteria in your gut, good and bad.
The effect can be that the balance is knocked off in your intestines and there is a chance of candida yeasts feeding on sugars and carbs etc and growing out of control.

Even if you happen to be focusing on fitness more than health i cant stress enough how important it is to rebalance the flora in your gut.
It nearly killed me after 10+ years of hell because i wasnt told about this when put on anti biotics.
Plus if you happen to fall prey to this situation it will seriously effect your health later and that in turn will ruin your fitness.

I used to get crazy sore shin splints in my early twenties because i was very active, but at the time didnt know i was 4 years into a candida growth.

Those pro biotics are good and worth saving yourself a whole lot of hell should the above ever occur.

So they wont directly improve your performance, but they will restore the balance in your gut which is most likely been put under alot of stress from hormones and anti biotics.
When your gut which absorbs nutrients etc is healthy, your body can work easier to get you to peak performance imo.

Sorry a long post that could have been shorter...but well,i had over 10 years of cronic depression, body ailements because i was never informed about this.

If you go into most healthfood shops you will usually see a good few brands and types of pro biotics.
You probably wont need the best ones as it may be exspensive.
    I personally have a tight budget,so i spend about 10-15 euro for a bottle of capsules,which i think last roughly a month.

It might also be a good idea to watch how much carbs you eat, until your sure your body is strong again.
As in dont overload on them carbs/sugars,yeast etc.
Obviously you will want them before and after exercise for energy and glycogen stores, when you are in full swing.

I want to start jiu jitsu training myself sometime in the next year or so.
Unfortunatly because of the above issues,my body has taken a serious beating and i am still just working to get healthy and fit enough to start.

Best of luck on your recovery.
