Weight Loss Pills

I don't know if I'm allowed to post this here, it got locked in the health forum, so apologies if it isn't allowed here either, I'm not deliberately trying to get on mods nerves, just looking for some information that is difficult to find using Google ^.^

So basically I'm looking for anyone to recommend a weight loss pill that they find has worked for them or a friend. I'm a member of a gym, and go dancing twice a week, so I get a good amount of exercise. I eat healthy meals, a good breakfast, lunch and dinner, but I snack alot. I would like a pill that suppresses my appetite (so I wont snack and will feel full eating smaller meals) while working with my body to burn fat that I intake and fat that is already in my body.

I don't want something too expensive, so I would appreciate it if you could post a price with the product you recommend. I also need one that is available over the counter.

    Talk to your GP.

And these pills are very rarely ever a good idea btw. They have the potential to be very damaging.

they strain your heart and give you the runs

they are not a quick fix and are not going to help

if you want an appetite suppressant eat more protein
    and eat properly

if you find yourself snacking a lot then break the habit
if you are in the habit of picking at snacks then an appetite suppressant is not going to change that
if you are genuinely hungry then you are not eating properly and need to sort that out

what exactly is your idea of "healthy meals"?

My idea of a healthy breakfast would be a cereal or porridge and a cup of tea, lunch would be a sandwich/wrap/bagel with cream cheese, or butter and meat. For dinner I would have meat, at least 2 veg, and sometimes potato or chips.

cereal is mostly sugar. eat eggs or porridge. yes, even special k is a bowl of sugar

eat meat/fish + veg instead for lunch and not a bagel or bread if you want to feel fuller

potato and chips isn't the best

what are you snacking on and are you doing it mindlessly sitting at a desk or what? are you genuinely hungry or in a habit?

Weight loss pills are not healthy at all. Any weight you lose you will prob put it back on.

I can snack a lot too but when I count calories and see how little I need to snack I eat a lot less. Try it and I'm not being smart.

I'd only have potato or chips maybe once a week, I'm not a big fan of them.

And I'm doing it mindlessly. I'll be doing study and would snack on biscuits or the mini cadburys bars :/ I try not to, and tried replacing the habit with fruit or multi-grain crackers, but I always end up back eating biscuits.

just don't buy them or have them near you then really

replacing it won't work, it's the habit you need to break

Any advice on breaking the habit?

What works for me is stopping and going "am I hungry? yes? well then maybe I should eat some meat/something healthy? No? then I'm not hungry"

or as pemb said, quickly counting up the calories and giving yourself a fright

you just need to keep catching yourself at it

I'm sure you're going "yeah easy to say..." but I have just given up coffee :pac:

    keep catching yourself
